2017 Bullet Journal Setup: Goal Setting, Reading Tracker & More!

A new year is practically here, and that means new bullet journal pages! Tis an exciting time, indeed!

LEUCHTTURM 1917 Dotted Bullet Journal

The Leuchtturm1917 Dotted Bullet Journal is great for new bullet journalers who feel the need for a bit of guidance. The journal comes equipped with a key on the front cover that is already filled in with common items that you will probably find in many bullet journalers’ keys, with lots of space to create symbols of your own. This journal also comes with a Bullet Journal guide at the back that provides details and explanations on various different aspects of bullet journaling, including rapid logging, indexing, and more.

Is it worth getting the “bullet journal” Leuchtturm1917 if you already have a medium dotted notebook? Honestly, probably not. However, I think the additional features make it a good fit for newbies. Otherwise, the notebook does the same job as the regular medium, dotted journals so I’m still really happy with it…although, I won’t lie, an additional bookmark really takes this journal to the next level 😉

Using A Bullet Journal For Goal Setting

As I mentioned in the video, taking the time to set and plan goals is really important to me; in the past year especially, I have found myself recognizing how critical a “plan of action” is. Having big goals is great, but they’re also unattainable unless you take the steps required to reach your goal…..the other day my aunt reminded me of a quote from Benjamin Franklin that I think fits well with goal planning: “Failing to plan is planning to fail.”

The great thing about the bullet journal system is that you have the flexibility to add detailed plans. I love it! Perhaps I’ll do a video in the future that dives further into specific goal planning techniques.
